PHILOSOPHY

Swasthya is the Sanskrit word for holistic health or being in one’s natural state. When the soul is happy, the senses are happy, the mind is happy and, in turn, the body is in its most natural and healthy state. Swasthya is our community of health and fitness enthusiasts from around the world with a vision to create an obesity free nation. It is built on the six pillars of food, exercise, sleep, stress management, belongingness and environment.

Food & Nutrition

Nutrition is key to our way of living and our plan comprises food from a variety of natural sources. A healthy diet ensures that we are first healthy before we can rid ourselves of ailments.

Exercise

The second pillar of Swasthya is essential to keep ourselves active, energetic and agile. Both our nutrition plans and exercise work in tandem to boost our muscular and skeletal health as well as maintain metabolism at optimum levels.

Sleep

An equally important pillar of good health is adequate sleep of five to eight hours which allows our body to repair and rejuvenate. The benefits of nutrition and exercise are undermined without sleep as it is only during this state of rest that nutrition is absorbed and cells repair and replenish.

Stress Management

Our hectic lifestyle is cause for mental stress at several levels - work, family, finances, relationships etc. If not addressed and managed, stress is the primary cause for ailments such as BP, diabetes and heart attacks. Stress management is the key preventive measure one must take to avoid major illnesses in the future.

Belongingness

Our community of Swasthya warriors who have transformed their lives through holistic health gives us a sense of belonging. We are all bound by a common cause of Swasthya - our daily practice of healthy habits - which gives us a feeling of home away from home.

Environment

We are as much a part of Swasthya as of the world around us. We bear a responsibility to preserve and protect our environment. The air we breathe and the water we drink are precious resources and need our attention. We believe that in order to lead a healthy life we must also take into account and ensure a healthy environment. So welcome to Swasthya, welcome to healthy living! Let us all strive to create a nation of healthy citizens and contribute to our nation's wellbeing
